Dr. Selene Portillo’s journey in medicine spans decades, continents, and disciplines — all driven by her unwavering belief in the power of healing through integration. Her story began with a foundation in traditional medical training at the UNSSA, where she completed her doctoral studies in Medicine and Surgery, gaining hands-on experience at Hospital San Rafael in 1999. But her pursuit of deeper understanding soon took her beyond conventional boundaries — into the fields of natural, regenerative, and quantum medicine.

In 2000, Dr. Portillo earned her doctorate in Natural Medicine from INDEMACUP, Guatemala, followed by advanced specializations in Homotoxicology from ASHOTA in Baden-Baden, Germany, and in Quantum Medicine through the North American Association of Alternative Medicine in 2004. Her early experiences as a nursing technician at Kaiser’s ROP Program in California laid the groundwork for the compassion and patient-centered care that would define her later work.

A lifelong learner, she continues to expand her expertise — earning her certification in Regenerative Medicine from ISSCA in Cancún, Mexico (2025) and completing her specialization in Integrative Medicine at TECH University, Spain (2025).

Beyond her clinical practice, Dr. Portillo is a visionary educator and leader. She serves as the President and Rector for Life of Universidad Paladi, an institution with campuses in El Salvador and Puerto Rico, and was honored with a Doctor Honoris Magna Causa from the same university in 2023 for her contributions to integrative medicine and human development.

Her entrepreneurial spirit shines through Dr. Selene’s Natura, her line of nutritional supplements developed in California, USA, and through ASADHI, the International Association for Integral Human Development, where she directs initiatives promoting holistic well-being worldwide.

Since 2007, Dr. Portillo has also shared her knowledge and insights through Código Médico — a medical magazine she founded, now evolved into a widely followed podcast that bridges the worlds of science, spirituality, and self-awareness.

A certified coach and trainer by AIFYC (Ibero-American Association of Coach Trainers), Dr. Portillo combines her medical expertise with the art of personal transformation — empowering both professionals and patients to take an active role in their healing journey.

Today, as an international speaker, educator, and advocate for regenerative and integrative medicine, Dr. Selene Portillo continues to inspire audiences with her message: that true healing begins when science meets consciousness.
